Clapham Court, for over 60 years an iconic feature of Gloucester’s skyline, is destined for demolition. This year, artists and residents have been exploring the stories hidden within the walls, and in November 2023 we will open the doors to the public for the first and last time.
Opening the bonfire weekend on the residents advice ‘the best view of fireworks in the county!’ there will be 10 flats open to the public with artworks by

2pm: Artist talk – Curator and artist, Jacqui Grange, with artist Georgia Williams. Meet in Common Room. Book here.
4pm & 6pm: Former resident and professional guitarist Neal Avery. Neal and other residents used to hold themed parties and events in the common room, during which he played a range of rock and folk classics. Book here for 4pm and book here for 6pm.

Please note that the building is full accessible, however artwork on several floors is only accessed via a lift, which has limited capacity. It’s therefore advisable for those with additional access needs to book a tour during the week rather than attend over the weekends. Do wear warm clothes as the flats will not be heated.
