1. Gloucestershire Heritage Hub: 1 – 4pm
Bells and Whistles! Join us for free talks exploring sport, fairs and entertainment of past times, from Magic Lanterns to Fairground attractions. Book here to secure your spot. Also on display are Gloucester Rugby Club’s fascinating records, plus the opportunity to explore your family history at the Gloucestershire Family History Resource Centre (open from 10am) , as well as free refreshments all afternoon.

2. Roots Cafe: all day
Community cafe renowned for cakes and snacks, plus the Roots Refills service. Show this flyer to get £1 off a special event picnic bag.

3. Clapham Court: 11 – 2pm
Activities, exhibition and the opportunity to share your memories of this iconic space ahead of the artists’ takeover this November. Sound artist George Moorey will be sharing tracks from album Nocturnal City Journal that was themed on imaginary and historic life past present and future in Gloucester.

4. Rainbow Street, 12 – 1pm
Join Gloucester’s Rainbow Street lady Tash Frootko as she takes you on a tour of the street she transformed into a kaleidoscope of colours in 2020. This lively and informative tour is open to all ages and will last about 1 hour. The walk is free but book here to secure your spot.

6. Hillfield Gardens, 10:30 – 12:30
Launch of Hillfield Monuments, an animation trail in Hillfield Gardens. The gardens host a collection of mysterious buildings. Each is a portal to a bygone age. When you find a QR-code, you’ve found an animation. Just scan these to see the monuments come to life!

Feel free to come for the day, or just dip into one or two activities. Bring your dog, picnic blanket and curiosity – there are drop in activities at all sites, but please book for talks and tours to secure your space.
