Event Details
Join us for this special viewing of the award winning, collaborative embroidery project The Red Dress, part of THREADS 2023.
Conceived by British artist Kirstie Macleod, the project provides an artistic platform for women around the world, many of whom are vulnerable and live in poverty, to tell their personal stories through embroidery.
The event is free, with donations on the door, but please book here to secure your spot. As this will be the first time the dress has been exhibited in Gloucester we expect the event to be very popular so do book early to avoid disappointment.
The Friendship Cafe can be found on Painswick Rd, opposite Marlborough Rd junction. From Barton St, it is 5 minutes on the left past the Barton St Police in the direction away from the town centre.
Note that limited parking is available at the venue so we would encourage taking public transport where possible. Bus stop 2 & 2A are right outside the building and it is an approx. 25 minute walk from the train station. Ample bike parking is available at the venue. Additional parking can also be found on nearby streets.
