Gloucester Views is an exciting three year programme we are delivering with partners, Gloucestershire Archives and the Heritage Forum. Projects and events will focus on the following areas;
Gloucester Views is a Voices Gloucester partnership project supported through Gloucestershire Archives – Heritage Hub, and funded by Historic England.
We are working with Historic England and the Heritage Forum to ensure schools across Gloucester get access to high quality activities and resources. This will include teacher training, resources and opportunities for schools to co-create bespoke heritage projects which are right for your pupils at your schools.
Our community panel and partner organisations work with us to identify training needs for participants and organisations.
We also support Gloucester creatives and storytellers with mentoring opportunities and offer 1-1 support sessions for people developing projects for our community grant programme.
Our first training day included inspirational presentations from artists involved in previous projects, a condensed history of Gloucester by a local historian, and practical advice on oral training and accessing the archives.
