Heritage Schools Training and Marketplace event
9:30am – 3:30pm Friday 20th October 2023
As part of the Gloucester Views Historic England programme, we are delighted to launch our new Heritage Schools programme, with this free training and support for Gloucestershire schools on 20th October 2023.
Schools attending the training will have the opportunity to become designated ‘Heritage Schools’; which we can further support by providing funding and working with you to develop creative heritage projects to fit your schools curriculum needs.
If you are interested in becoming a Heritage School, the process is initiated through attending a free training session. This session will:
In addition to this, there will be a ‘Heritage Marketplace ‘ event from 12.30 – 1:30pm for all schools, where teachers can learn more about what heritage venues and organisations from Gloucester can offer your school.
The event is suitable for both Primary and Secondary Schools. Historic England will reimburse state schools for supply cover – £130 to cover a teacher’s absence for a whole day or £75 for a half day, capped at one teacher per school.
